Dubai | Day 3 + 4!

Hey everyone! So sorry I didn't post yesterday but we didn't get the photos that were taken at our activities until today. Yesterday was a day at the Atlantis Waterpark. Yep, that's how huge this hotel is  it has an entire waterpark. Including the 'Leap of Faith' which is one of the most famous rides-plunging you straight down and into an underwater tube of sharks, fish, etc. After my dad and I enjoyed the slides and lazy river, the three of us went on a shark safari! We wore these large tanks over our head so that we could breathe underwater and basically walked on the bottom of an aquarium filled with stingrays, tons of fishes and even a couple small sharks. It was so cool and exciting, although at first a bit scary because it was a weird feeling being able to breathe normally deep underwater. After that, we took part in feeding the rays. Not my most favorite part since the rays were climbing all over your legs and slurping for food ;p but my parents really enjoyed it and my mom has become obsessed with rays! We then went to the Mall of the Emirates for the evening which is an amazing mall in Dubai. It had so many shops but since we are going to the largest mall in the world on Thursday I tried to restrain my shopaholic instincts. We had Cheesecake Factory for dinner which was delicious since we haven't had that in about two years since moving to Switzerland!

Day 4
Today was one of our only tour days so we got to see more of the Old Town in Dubai and not just the skyscrapers, glamour and modernism throughout this spectacular city. We rode the Hop on Hop off bus throughout most of the city and then walked around the old town near the creek which was so beautiful. It actually also looked quite historic which was surprising for how young the city of Dubai is. We then walked around some markets including the famous spice market. It is quite the experience in there with everyone out trying to persuade you to come to their stall. It was such a nice day and I really enjoyed just spending time with my family seeing more of Dubai-in other words, outside of The Atlantis!

Hope you enjoyed this picture vlogging of my time so far in Dubai and that it has been interesting and entertaining to see? Have you ever been to Dubai? If so what did you do there?

Thank you for viewing and please subscribe to my blog for notifications when I post! xxx

Day 2 | Dubai!

Hey everyone! Another 'vlog' in picture form today of our fun-filled day. Basically, our day consisted of tanning by the pool and relaxing in the sun at the beach and then swimming with dolphins. The dolphin swim was such a blast and I was so grateful that I could experience it. We got to do all sorts of things with the dolphins such as: ride it, kiss it, hug it and play with it. His name was Lennox and he was so cute and sweet. After the dolphin adventure we had a very nice dinner at Nobu. I'm personally not a seafood or sushi fan but some of the dishes here were so yummy and made seafood taste good to me. Overall, it was a very relaxing, yet great day and I am excited to see what tomorrow brings.

Hope you enjoyed getting another taste of Dubai! More tomorrow, xxx

Day 1 | Dubai

Hey everyone! I am officially in Dubai and it is absolutely amazing. It's also super warm for a perfect...winter tan? We are staying at The Atlantis Hotel which is a HUGE, I mean H U G E resort hotel. It is one of the iconic hotels and was also on a season of Amazing race if any of you watch that ;) Anyways, we flew from Switzerland yesterday and got here late last night, so today was our first real day.

We began the morning relaxed and finishing some tasks of booking various dinners and activities for our stay here until next Friday. Then, we went to the pool and laid out in the sun with smoothies and a caesar salad for lunch. After a little pool time we headed back to the rooms to get ready for our 'Safari Tour'. The tour was incredible and definitely a once in a lifetime experience that I never would have thought I would experience. We drove out about an hour to the desert-with a quick stop to see camel racing-and rode the truck that our guide was driving in across the desert. It was like a 'dune buggy' experience and we even had to deflate the tires before starting a bumpy adventure. Once we reached deep into the desert with literally no one or nothing around us we parked the car and enjoying the breathtaking views and silence. The sand in the desert was red so no animals can survive there and it was super soft and silky. We watched the sunset on top of one of the sand dunes and also did some funny sand boarding down one of the sand hills.

After the sun had set we headed down to our camp and camel ride; except had to take a little detour to help some guys who had gotten stuck in one of the sand craters. The camp was set-up so beautifully with a fire, tents, pillows and cushions all over the floor. Our camel was also waiting there for us and we ventured on some nighttime camel riding which was so cool! After a delicious and traditional dinner we concluded the night and drove back to the hotel. Now, I will show you some highlights from the day.

Talk tomorrow, xxx
